It’s Beginning to Look Somewhat Like Christmas
May I present:
YES! A Christmas tree. IN MY OWN HOME. I’m starting to feel some of that Christmas Spirit, finally. And with only a week until Christmas, not a moment too soon.
My weekend was spent wrapping a mountain of presents. Ok, maybe not my entire weekend. And maybe not really a mountain, either, but it took me a solid three hours which is a far-too significant chunk of my weekend. Especially considering that I may be right up there in the running for World’s Worst Wrapper. You know how some people have their presents professionally wrapped in Ralph Lauren cashmere wrapping paper and they’re so pretty you don’t want to touch them? Let’s just say that mine DON’T have that problem.
But who cares, I’m done! Or, almost. Besides a present or two that is MIA (or that I just haven’t bought yet) we’re all wrapped and ready.
Completely unrelated sidenote: I was all prepared to write a little jingle today to the tune of “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas” until I realized I don’t have a frigging clue how that song goes other than the first two lines. Even a quick google search which presented me with this audio still didn’t help. So my cute little jingle was only two lines long and that’s not really a jingle now, is it?

Unfortunately, I DO know all the words to that song. And now I have each and every one of them stuck in my head. Thanks a lot.
Maybe I can try really hard to replace them with the lyrics to “I Farted on Santa’s Lap (Now Christmas is Gonna Stink for Me).” Real song.
